THE POULTRY PROCESSING COMPANY TARAVIS KFT, PART OF THE GALLUS GROUP OF COMPANIES, HAS BEEN SIGNIFICANTLY EXPANDED AND MODERNISED THROUGH IMPROVEMENTS TO THE SLAUGHTERHOUSE AND COLD STORE.
The new 1,800 square metre cold store has a capacity of 1,400 tonnes of fresh and frozen goods. In addition, 90 percent of the slaughterhouse technology has been completely replaced. Processed goods are placed on a 500-pallet workflow-optimised racking system, while frozen products await delivery on an electrically controlled, roll-on/roll-off storage system. At the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Mihály Varga handed over the grant document providing HUF 294 million in non-refundable government support for the HUF 1.2 billion capacity development investment.
The spectacular development at the Gallus Group’s site in Sárvár-Rábasömjén was made possible with the help of the Ministry of Finance’s Large Business Investment Support Facility. The ministry offered to contribute to the project, which was privately backed and bank-assisted.
The ceremony was attended by Minister of Finance Mihály Varga and István Zoltán Marczinkó, Deputy State Secretary for Labour Market and Corporate Relations of the Ministry of Finance, and Zsolt Miklós Kis, State Secretary for Rural and Rural Development of the Prime Minister’s Office. László Majthényi, President of the County Assembly, Péter Ágh, Member of Parliament and István Kondora, Mayor of Sárvár, as well as the Group’s supplier partners and representatives of public organisations were also present.
